About Rivet Resource
Updated: 2 hours ago

Rivet Resource is my working notebook for travel-trailer life — real installs, real power math, and the gear that actually sticks after the unpacking high wears off. I write from the driver’s seat and from under the couch, because that is where the wiring lives.
The fleet so far
I started with a Basecamp behind a Jeep, moved to a Flying Cloud behind a Tesla, and now run a Classic 33 travel trailer behind a Cybertruck. Each step taught me something different about weight, charging, and what “comfortable” means when you live with the systems you install.
Power on the Classic 33
Under the couch sits an EG4 6000EX inverter paired with a Nirakoka 240VAC 50A automatic transfer switch. The house bank is 48V LiTime lithium. Solar is Callsun panels at roughly 1000W in a 5S2P layout into a Victron solar charge controller. A Victron Orion-Tr 48/12 30A DC-DC converter feeds the 12V side. Shore charging uses an EG4 18A charger plus a LiTime 30A charger. The front air conditioner has SoftStart so generator and inverter startups stay sane.
Shore power and water
A Glendinning Cablemaster handles the 50A shore cord. On the driver side, a Hosemaster keeps the freshwater hose tidy. Filtration is a Blu Tech SOLO, and a motorized tank fill makes topping off less of a wrestling match.
Kitchen
Cooling is an LG LT11C2000V. Cooking leans on a Thor TMO24-R and a GE Profile PLU621RTSS induction cooktop. The stock microwave space became a drink station — more useful for how we actually camp.
Everything else that earns its keep
Zarcor RAILshades cut glare without fighting the windows. Cameras cover hitching and blind spots. VEVOR jacks help with setup. Connectivity is Starlink Mini plus Peplink. LevelMate and TireMinder round out the go/no-go checks before we roll.
If you are building a similar trailer — or deciding what not to buy — Rivet Resource is where I document what worked, what failed, and what I would do again on the next Classic 33 mile.
